談過了"A New House For Mouse",就不能不提Don and Audrey Wood 這對夫妻檔作者的經典作品"The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry,and The Big Hungry Bear"(中文版"誰要吃草莓?"/黃迺毓譯/維京國際出版)Don Wood 的畫與 Audrey Wood的文字在這個故事裡搭配得恰到好處,雖然是一個簡單的小故事,卻是一本不可多得的.圖文並重的好書!小老鼠發現一個好紅好好吃的草莓,卻怕被飢餓的大熊發現,想盡各種方法保住草莓,小老鼠一會兒得意,一會兒驚訝.一會兒緊張.一會兒惶恐...的表情在Don Wood的筆下描繪得活靈活現,讀者讀著文字彷彿就在與小老鼠對話,最後還要跟小老鼠分半顆草莓來為故事畫下句點,讀故事的同時,讀者完全置身故事中的設計,非常讓人驚嘆!!

起先小老鼠獨自布置了美麗的聖誕樹,也準備了好多禮物......害怕大餓熊來搶,小老鼠用盡了辦法保護他的東西......可是小老鼠心念一轉:大餓熊孤伶伶的在山洞裡過耶誕,是不是在流眼淚呢?小老鼠鼓起勇氣,打包家裡所有的耶誕裝飾和禮物,來到大餓熊家的洞口,裝飾了好美的聖誕樹......還是沒現身的大餓熊,也溫馨的回送了禮物喔!! 仍對大餓熊好奇的我,心裡想還會不會有續集呢?:)
