小男孩的生日在2月12日,正好與林肯總統同一天!每年的2月份學校都會舉辦一些與林肯總通相關的活動,讓小朋友認識這位在美國歷史上有極大貢獻的總統,老師告訴小男孩他不只是和林肯總統的生日同一天,也和林肯總統一樣長得瘦瘦高高的,手大腳大......小男孩因此想更進一步了解這位偉大的人物,在學校圖書館讀遍了與林肯總統相關的傳記與書籍,在街上看到陽光下的林肯總統銅像時也有特殊的感受......小男孩透過了解林肯總統更加敞開了心胸,知道自己的未來將有無限的可能......

透過簡單的文字,讓年輕的孩子進一步了解林肯總統的偉大和他在人權上的貢獻,這本書是不錯的選擇!我喜歡Ted Lewin的畫,書中有許多林肯總統的素描畫像, 還有鉛筆與水彩混合的畫面將整本書的內容完整連貫,往後我一定會留意Ted Lewin的作品!
